Chemical peels are mixed acids that are applied to the skin and result in a chemical reaction that removes the outer layer of your skin leaving you with fresh new skin. This is a chemical exfoliant. Chemical peels are a cost-effective way of treating almost all metrics of skin quality! Most peels have average 5 day peel time with the peak of the peel at Day 3. This is a great preparatory treatment for microneedling, a chemical peel, or a facial, or as a standalone treatment if you need mechanical exfoliation. This can help your makeup appear smooth and flawless. The most common side effect is redness and increased sensitivity for 1-2 days.
Facials are scheduled for 60 minutes or 90 minute durations. You want to prepare by arriving ten to 15 minutes early to allow adequate time for pictures & skin analysis. Your skin will appear slightly pink to red immediately afterward (similar to a sunburn). You may experience some dryness, rough skin, tightness, peeling, itching, & burning. These are all normal and are part of the healing process. Detailed post-procedure instructions will be provided.
