NON-SURGICAL BEAUTY PLAN
Dr. Christie is known for her unique combination approach utilizing spa services such as fillers, botox, aesthetician services, minimally-invasive technology with surgical techniques to deliver elegant results. The art of her transformations is in the planning and she specializes in patients who are juggling beauty treatments with a busy lifestyle. She harmoniously addresses her signature 3 categories of aging (skin quality, skin laxity, & volume) that results in a balanced, natural transformation.
When you are not born with perfect skin (95% of us), you must have a strategy and an understanding of your treatment goals to see results. There are an overwhelming amount of skin care products on the market which can be difficult to navigate. Dr. Christie starts with a skin care assessment looking at skin quality and will combo medical therapy with her aestheticians to address your skin concerns. Skin care transformations take time and a long-term strategy is employed to ensure that you get your desired results.
Volume loss occurs as we age in both our soft tissue and bony structures. Volume replacement can be performed with synthetic fillers or your own fat. The amount of volume replacement varies between patients however, Dr. Christie prides herself in subtle volume restoration while simultaneously treating skin laxity and quality. You will never look over-filled or over-done. All types of fillers are utilized and customized to her patients skin type and treatment area.
Neurotoxins include botox, dysport, jeuveau, and yeoman. These are derivatives of the botulism toxin that temporarily paralyze muscles. Gentle and strategic use of a neurotoxin can enhance facial aesthetics while overuse can result in an unnatural animation, an overly heavy brow, and ultimately age your face. Dr. Christie customizes botox for each patient based on their patterns of animation, duration of botox use, and overall aesthetic goals.
Microneedling is one of many spa services used by Dr. Christie to address skin quality. It is an excellent treatment to minimize surgical scars and she routinely uses this to enhance her surgical results. Microneedling is combined with other growth peptides and often combined with minimally-invasive surgical procedures to deliver better results. One of Dr. Christie’s favorite treatments for skin laxity and skin quality is radio frequency microneedling. One of the advantages of microneedling is safety for all skin types.
Laser resurfacing is an excellent way to address skin quality by removing pigment, tightening the skin for fine lines and wrinkles, and minimizing pores. Not every patient is a good candidate for laser treatments (depending on skin type) and a proper skin analysis must be performed to determine the best individualized treatment plan. Dr. Christie specializes in mixed or ethnic skin types which can present challenges when using heat-based treatments.
Facial skin tightening is something we all try to achieve as we age and our skin looses collagen and volume resulting in wrinkles (rhytids). Dr. Christie believes that prevention is the best method to addressing skin laxity and likes to utilize minimally-invasive skin tightening technology to stimulate neocollagenesis. Technology in plastic surgery has become an area of expertise for Dr. Christie and she is always up-to-date with the latest modalities in minimially-invasive treatments. Her skills as a plastic surgeon also allow her to recognize when a patient is NOT a good candidate for minimally-invasive treatments.
